Therapy for Adults

There are numerous reasons for seeking counselling and psychotherapy. For each person there is a unique story to be heard and shared. This story may cause you to have feelings of being sad, upset, distraught and stressed. Counselling and therapy is the process of meeting with a therapist, to explore your story, and resolve problematic behaviours, beliefs, feelings, relationship concerns, and the sensation which impact the body and mind.

Beginning therapy is a big step towards being in body and mind. You can change damaging behaviours and habits, dispel painful feelings, and improve relationships.

Counselling for Children & Young People

Having originally trained to work with adults, I undertook further training to work with children and young people from 11 - 25 years old.

As a counsellor and psychotherapist, my role is to assist young people to recognise their potential, understand their emotions and worries, and promote their ability to be reflective and solve the problems they face in a safe and confidential space.

About me

I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist working with children and young people, and adults. Prior to being a counsellor and psychotherapist, I worked in education and local authorities, before embarking upon my own intensive personal therapy journey for many years, which transformed my life. I draw upon my life experiences and training, and aim to provide useful insight during sessions.

"Human beings have a basic tendency to fulfil their potential, to be positive, forward looking, to grow, improve, and protect their existence."

I am a person-centred (humanistic) counsellor and psychotherapist working with adults, children, and young people. I am a registered and accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (MNCPS Acc.d) and an accredited Children and Young People's Therapist.

Therapeutic Group Work

Mental health stigma can be a barrier to seeking out therapy and counselling or help. But courageous group conversations provide individuals with a sense of connection with others, and the freedom to share and reflect their story in a safe space without judgment.

From my experience of working and supporting fathers, male carers and guardians, and my own experience of being a dad, I know how valuable these spaces can be.

Confidentiality

I will only break confidentiality if there is a risk of harm to you or others, or if required by law.

Locations & Online Sessions

I offer in-person counselling and therapy sessions in London Bridge (SE1), Crystal Palace (SE19), and Clapham (SW11).

Each location is easily accessible by public transport, and I can provide details on nearby bus routes, tube stations, and parking if helpful.

For those who prefer flexibility, I also provide online and telephone counselling. These sessions can be a great option if you're unable to travel, based outside London, or simply feel more comfortable connecting from home. Online sessions are held via a secure video platform, making it easy to access therapy wherever you are.

I want to thank you for being very kind and calm with me. When I began to have counselling with you, I had experienced a significant loss in my life. I had my son to consider and wondered as to what would happen next. You made me feel at ease as you listened. You provided me with good advice and left me feeling more confident about myself. I was able to understand things about myself and consider my feelings at a very difficult time.

I would like to thank you so much for all the counselling, it has really helped me. Initially, I hadn’t thought how much it would help but it really has. Having time to process and reflect has really helped me to rationalise things. Huge thanks for all your listening.

I would like to thank you as this has been valuable in terms of being able to just process my thoughts. I appreciated every session. Thank you.
